About Me
I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Colorado State University (2007) and I'm now pursuing a second degree — a B.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University, currently in my second term. My focus is building the specialized skills needed to protect critical infrastructure — specifically energy and water systems.
I hold a CompTIA A+ certification (Core 1: 812, Core 2: 830) and I'm actively working toward Network+ and Security+. I take a hands-on approach to learning: I run a home lab, build my own security tools in Rust, and apply what I study directly to real systems.
Outside of school, I run Silverleaf Web Services, a managed WordPress hosting business serving small businesses and nonprofits on DigitalOcean infrastructure. It's not a side hustle — it's a real operation with real clients who depend on it.
I live in Montrose, Colorado, where I'm also involved in the community as a board member of the Time Bank Of The Rockies and Valley Food Partnership. The Western Slope is home, and I care about what happens here.
